Hazrat Syedna Mola Ali Al-Murtaza (RA) Scholarly Position
According to a saying, the fourth Caliph, Amir-ul-Mu'minin, Hazrat Sayyiduna Mola Ali al-Murtaza, Lion of God, may Allah be pleased with him, accepted Islam at the age of 10 years and had the honor of being the first among children to accept Islam [Sirat-i Ibn Ishaq, p. 137, Muqadat Ibn al-Salah, p. 300] and From his childhood until the time when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said his farewell, he traveled and was present with his family. Adhering to the Sunnah with heart and soul, Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (RA) says that Hazrat Ali (RA) is the most knowledgeable of the Sunnah among people. [Tarikh Ibn Asaqir, 42 / 408].
Hazrat Ali is the door of knowledge and wisdom:
Maula Ali Mushkil Kusha, the Lion of God (RA) held a special place among the companions of the Prophet (RA) in terms of knowledge, and why not? The door of wisdom has been said, so see the 2 decrees of Mustafa, peace, and blessings of God be upon him:
- (اَÙ†َا Ù…َدِÛŒْÙ†َÛƒُ الْعِÙ„ْÙ…ِ ÙˆَعَÙ„ِÛŒٌّ بَابُÚ¾َا) I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its gate. [Mustadrik al-Hakam, 4/96, Hadith: 3744].
- (اَÙ†َا دَارُ الْØِÚ©ْÙ…َÛƒِ ÙˆَعَÙ„ِÛŒٌّ بَابُÚ¾َا) I am the house of wisdom and Ali is its door. [Tirmidhi, 5/402, Hadith: 3744].
Mustafa's supplications:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali al-Murtaza, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, says that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, put his hand on my chest and prayed like this: O Allah, fill his heart with knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and light, that is, O Allah! Fill Ali's chest with knowledge, wisdom, wisdom, and light. [Tarikh Ibn Asaqir, 42 / 386].
Hazrat Ali and the thousand chapters of knowledge:
The chapter of knowledge and wisdom, Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali al-Murtaza, may God be pleased with him, says that the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, taught me a thousand chapters of knowledge, and I learned from each chapter of them. While describing the knowledge of him, the companion of the Prophet Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Tufail Amir bin Wathlah (may God be pleased with him) says: I attended the service of Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali Al-Murtaza (may God be pleased with him), so he delivered the sermon. He said during the sermon: Ask me a question, by Allah! You will ask me about any matter that will happen till the Day of Resurrection, and I will surely answer you. Tabi Buzragh Hazrat Sayyiduna Saeed bin Musayyib, may God have mercy on him, says: Among the companions of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, there was no one who said, "Ask me, except Hazrat Ali." [Author Ibn Abi Shaiba, 13 / 457, Number: 26948].
Knowledge of Hazrat Ali and Qur'anic Verses:
He (RA) knew about the verses of the Holy Qur'an, which verse was revealed when and where. Thus, the source of knowledge and wisdom, the master of the universe, Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali al-Murtaza, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Ask me about the Holy Qur'an, indeed, I know about every verse of the Holy Qur'an, whether it was revealed at night or during the day. , descended on flat ground or on a mountain. At one point Maula Ali Mushkil Kusha Radiyallahu Anhu said: By Allah! I know about every verse of the Holy Quran, when and where it was revealed, and about whom it was revealed. The knowledge of the external and internal aspects of the Holy Quran:
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masoud, may Allah be pleased with him, while describing his understanding of the Qur'an, said: Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, the Leader of the Faithful is such a scholar who has both the external and internal aspects of the Holy Qur'an. There is knowledge. [Tarikh Ibn Asaqir, 42/400].
Explaining the external and internal aspects of the verses of the Holy Qur'an, Hakim-e-Ummat Hazrat Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Naeemi, may God bless him and grant him peace, says: The external meaning is its literal translation, the internal meaning is its origin and purpose or the apparent law, and the internal tariqat or the apparent rules. and the inner secret or the visible is that which the scholars are knowledgeable about and the inner is that which the Sufis are aware of or the visible is that which is known through transmission and the inner is that which is known through discovery. [Marat al-Munajih, 1/210].
Implementation of Hazrat Ali's Fatwa:
If the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to know about the fatwa of Hazrat Ali, how would the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) follow his fatwa? If Ali (Radiyallahu Anhu) had told us the fatwa, we would not have transgressed it. [Tabaqat Ibn Saad, 2/258].
Reference to Hazrat Ali in problems:
The companions of the Prophet, but also the mother of the believers, Hazrat Sayyiduna Aisha Siddiqa (RA) used to send to Hazrat Ali (RA) for solving their problems. As Tabi Buzragh Hazrat Shureeh bin Hani (RA) asked Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (RA) about wiping over the socks, so she (RA) said: Go to Hazrat Ali (RA) and ask him, because he is very knowledgeable about this issue. Hazrat Ali and Knowledge of Legacy:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masoud (RA) says that Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali al-Murtaza (RA) knew the most about inheritance among the people of Madinah. [Al-Istiyab, 3/207].
Number of Traditions:
586 blessed hadiths have been narrated from you (may Allah be pleased with him) which are spreading their fragrance in the books of hadiths.
Testimony:
On the 17th or 19th of Ramadhan al-Mubarak in 40 A.H., on the way to Fajr prayer, there was a murderous attack on him, in which he was seriously injured and he died on the night of 21st of Ramadhan al-Mubarak. [Tabaqat Ibn Saad, 3/27, Karamat-e-Shir-e-Khuda, p. 13 in summary]
