Farewell Sermon

In his last sermon, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) set out a set of instructions in which he spoke about human rights over each other, equality that is common, and kindness that should be spread throughout humanity.

Muhammad's last sermon was delivered during the Hajj of 632 AD, the ninth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the lunar year, in Arafat, the happiest day of the year. Many Muslims were present during the last Hajj of the Prophet (peace be upon him) when he delivered his last sermon.

Your wives only in the trust of Allah and with His permission. If they respect your right, then they are given the right to be fed and clothed. Treat your wives well and treat them well because they are your partners. And a determined helper. And it is your right not to make friends. Never be unclean with one of them that you do not approve of.

O people, listen to me, worship Allah, offer your five daily. Prayers, fasting in Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Do Hajj if you can. All human beings are from Adam and Eve, no Arab has any superiority over a non-Arab and no non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab. Not even a white one No black has any superiority over a white Except for piety and good deeds. Know that every Muslim is a brother.
