Before Islam And After Islam:

Fear Of God And Worship:
He, may God be pleased with him, asked the children of Madinah to pray for him to pray for a long life. He started fasting continuously at his last age. (Riyadh al-Nazra, Vol. 1, p. 363).
Caliphate period:
In the year 13 Hijri, he ascended to the post of Khilafat and held it for ten years and six months.

When a person was appointed ruler of a province, he used to write a list of all his wealth and assets and keep it to himself. Later, those officers who had excess assets (and they could not explain any correct reason for them) would order these assets to be deposited in Bait al-Mal. Martyrdom of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), Testimony:
The entire life of this great ruler in the history of the world was a great example of honor and nobleness and achievements of greatness. On the morning of the 26th Dhu al-Hijjah, a Magian slave, Abu Lulu Firuz, attacked him during the Fajr prayer and seriously injured him. Allah Ta'ala ordered Hazrat Abd al-Rahman bin Awf to lead the prayer, when people picked him up and brought him to his house, he was unconscious due to continuous bleeding. As soon as he came, he took his son's hand and made him sit behind him and performed ablution and performed Fajr prayer. Hazrat Suhayb, may God bless him and grant him peace, led his funeral prayer. He was buried on the 1st of Muharram 24 Hijri in Rasool Cemetery next to the first Caliph Hazrat Siddique Akbar. (Taqabat Ibn Saad, Vol. 3, pp. 266, 280, 281 - Tarikh Ibn Asaqir, Vol. 44, pp. 422, 464) At the time of martyrdom, the blessed age of the Prophet (RA) was 63 years. The number of hadiths narrated from him (RA) is 537.

Hazrat Anas (RA) says that they once saw Hazrat Umar (RA) during the time of Khilafah.
